Emergence is a not-for-profit virtual business incubation program dedicated to assisting innovative start-ups and growth stage companies in the bioscience and food sectors. Our multi-year incubation program provides clients with the support and guidance they need to bring their products and services to market.
The Emergence model is based on long-term relationships, and provides clients with access to the knowledge and resources they need to grow.
Building a successful company is a complex process. With each phase of development entrepreneurs are faced with new sets of challenges. The Emergence program provides companies with the support they need to respond to their dynamic and demanding environments.
Access to knowledge and specialist services
Access to knowledge is at the core of the Emergence program. Emergence clients receive long term expert advice from mentors specifically selected for their relevant experience and proven track record. In addition, Emergence provides our clients with access to customized specialist services designed to fill specific gaps in the their commercialization “critical path”.
Specialist services are provided by selected advisors in the following areas: product development, technology assessment, business planning, market assessment, IP consultation, marketing and product/prototype design, regulatory strategies, legal/prospectus development, and capital formation.
Access to networks and resources
The Emergence program is supported by the established biosciences cluster developed by the Prince Edward Island BioAlliance. Emergence facilitates access to our established global networks. We network our companies with talent, funding agencies, regulatory bodies, public organizations, service providers, investors, potential partners and PEI cluster companies.
Whether you have an early-stage start-up or a company seeking follow-on investment, our program is designed to help you succeed.
