Regulatory modernization activities will impact how foods are approved, deemed safe, labelled, and marketed to consumers.
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), Health Canada and the NS Department of Agriculture are partnering to deliver a workshop to update the food industry on regulatory issues.
The workshop is intended for all producers, food manufacturers, importers, retailers and others involved in marketing food products.
The workshop will provide information on: regulatory modernization activities, including the Safe Food for Canadians Act, Healthy Eating Strategy, Mandatory Labelling, and CFIA’s Electronic Service Delivery Platform. There is no cost to attend. Deadline for registration is January 6th, 2017.

My CFIA and the Electronic Service Delivery Platform (ESDP): This platform will allow industry to query and apply for export certificates online and to allow the CFIA to exchange certificates and related documents securely with importing countries.
