SomaDetect nominated for 2019 Manning Innovation Awards

March 1, 2019

Emergence client SomaDetect has been nominated for the 2019 Manning Innovation Awards. The Manning Awards showcases Canada’s leading innovative thinkers and leaders.

SomaDetect is an in-line sensor that measures every critical indicator of dairy quality (fat, protein, somatic cell counts, progesterone, and antibiotics) from every cow at every milking. It uses no consumables (no chemicals, no cartridges, no lost milk), is extremely quick (results in seconds, not minutes), and accurate.

There are four awards from $100,000 to $10,000: Principal Award, Award of Distinction, and two Innovation Awards.

The Manning Awards are named after Earnest C. Manning, former premier of Alberta. He believed in recognizing the intelligence of the common person. The program recognizes Canadians who aspire to “do good for the common good” as this was Manning’s core principle for his own life. Read more here. You can check out former winners here.

We’re behind you and cheering you on!
