SP Nutraceuticals Launches First Avocado-based Supplement Metavo to Target Insulin Resistance, Support Healthy Metabolism

June 26, 2020

Metavo contains AvoB, a powerful bioactive discovered by Canadian scientists and  known to support healthy metabolism, blood sugar levels and weight in adults

SP Nutraceuticals (SP), as part of its mission to build healthy communities through plant-based nutrition backed by rigorous science, is proud to announce the launch of Metavo, a natural supplement that contains avocatin B (AvoB). AvoB is a powerful bioactive naturally found in avocados that helps maintain normal blood glucose (sugar) levels and supports healthy metabolism.

In collaboration with a team of nutritional scientists from the University of Guelph lead by renowned nutraceutical expert and researcher, Dr. Paul Spagnuolo, conducted extensive research and identified and isolated the new bioactive. AvoB can be used to maintain a healthy metabolism, blood sugar levels and weight in adults naturally, effectively and safely. It is particularly beneficial for those who are looking to manage blood sugar levels, those who are pre-diabetic, obese or overweight.

“AvoB has been scientifically proven to target a root cause of ineffective metabolism which leads to high blood sugar,” said Dr. Spagnuolo. “After years of researching, we understand how natural compounds target various diseases; this creates a significant opportunity to develop natural products that can help improve the health of people struggling with disease.”

Based on this discovery, SP Nutraceutical’s product development experts formulated the new product called Metavo to support healthy metabolism. Metavo is available in convenient on-the-go powder sachets and soon-to-be-released capsules. Each lot of avocado powder used to formulate Metavo is tested to ensure a standardized dose of AvoB

“We know that an imbalance of something as simple as blood sugar levels can have a profound and negative impact on our health so the ability to rebalance blood sugar levels naturally, effectively and safely is critical,” commented Christina Barbato, CEO of SP Nutraceuticals.  “After years of research, Paul and I are proud to launch Metavo and share our discoveries with those who can benefit from them.”

Metavo is available exclusively online at www.metavo.com.

ABOUT METABOLISM

A healthy metabolism is critical to long-term health, ensuring glucose and fat are burned at the appropriate rate. If an individual’s metabolism has become inefficient, they are burning one more than the other, causing a build up of either fat or glucose in their blood.

Long-term use of AvoB has been scientifically proven to restore effectiveness of metabolism so that glucose and fat are being burned at the appropriate rate.

ABOUT METAVO

Metavo is an avocado-based supplement with AvoB and chromium which supports full-spectrum healthy metabolism at the cellular level. AvoB restores healthy metabolism of glucose and fat while chromium improves activation of the insulin receptor. Collectively, AvoB and chromium target two major underlying causes of insulin resistance. Insulin resistance happens when the body’s natural mechanism for controlling sugar levels fails.

Each serving of Metavo is perfectly portioned and optimally balanced to deliver the right amount of AvoB. Metavo contains 5g avocado and 100mcg Chromium (III enriched yeast) in each dose/serving.

A 10g powder sachet of AvoB contains approximately ¼ avocado for blending. One sachet/serving of Metavo mixed with milk or milk alternatives can help support a healthy lifestyle.
