Emergence incubator client, Nature’s Crops International (NCI), showcased its business to a group of investors and commercial partners at this year’s SupplySide West 2016 Trade Show in Las Vegas.
The so-called “Venture Tank“ presentation session was organized by Nutrition Capitol Networks in order to connect companies with new and innovative products with potential investors and strategic partners.Andrew Hebard, CEO of NCI made the presentation as one of 13 invited competitors in a “shark tank” style competition using 10-minute presentations, audience Q&A, and one-on-one meetings.
NCI used the opportunity to highlight their Ahiflower oil product.
NCI competed for $140,000 in services and other in-kind awards from the Venture Tank sponsors, including Herbalife, Venable, and KGK Synergies.
Andrew’s presentation on October 5 earned NCI a Top 3 Finalist position.
The following day, Andrew pitched a condensed 4-minute version of his presentation to a panel of 4 judges including Tom Aarts and Grant Ferrier of NCN, Najla Guthrie from KGK Synergize, and Michael Yatcilla of Herbalife.
The presentation was well-received by the judges based on their follow-up questions. However, the top prize went to a bio-informatics natural compound discovery company.
While not the recipient of the grand prize, NCI and Ahiflower had the opportunity to be highlighted in front of leading investors and strategic partners, thereby providing valuable high-level exposure to this new, exciting product.
