BLG’s Jennifer Raoul discusses using patents as a key business tool for start-up and established companies

The first event in the EEP program took place in collaboration with our IP partner, Borden Ladner Gervais (BLG).

At this “standing room only” event, representatives of local companies got to better understand how to “Use Patents as Business Tools“.

Following the morning presentation, a number companies took advantage of “one-to-one” meetings with our presenter, Jennifer Raoul.

Intellectual property (IP) is one of the most valuable assets for any venture – start-up or established SME. Having an effective IP strategy in place is essential.

The first Expert Education Program workshop examined techniques to use patents as a business tool to create value for companies, all while avoiding common pitfalls.
